Murdoch Children’s Research Institute

Sophie Wang is a PhD student with a background in pharmacology and neuroscience. After completing her master’s degree, she gained hands-on experience as a research assistant in a wet lab, where she developed a foundation in experimental research. Her interest later grew towards pharmacogenomics and personalised medicine in oncology. She is currently part of the PEGASUS clinical trial, working under the supervision of A/Prof Rachel Conyers, A/Prof Marliese Alexander and Dr Andreas Halman, where she is exploring the feasibility and acceptability of investigating phenoconversion in paediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma in clinical settings.
