Survivorship Reference Group
Advocating for improved childhood and adolescent cancer survivorship research and care.

Uniting diverse voices to ensure survivors thrive
More children and adolescents are surviving cancer in Australia, but for many, it’s the start of a lifetime of treatment-related health issues that may not be fully addressed.
The Survivorship Reference Group is helping to address the wide range of challenges survivors can face. Bringing together individuals with lived experience of childhood and adolescent cancer alongside national and international experts in survivorship care and research, the group also includes representatives from leading charities and advocacy organisations, including Canteen, Redkite, and the Leukaemia Foundation.
Together, they shape the strategic direction and funding priorities of CoLab's Survivorship and Living Well Impact Program. They were also the driving force behind the national Surviving Cancer is Not Enough Position Statement, which calls for survivorship to be a core part of every cancer care plan, roadmap, and research agenda.
