Trudy Marr’s advocacy journey began when her son, Bobby, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age three and treated at The Royal Children’s Hospital. Now, beyond active treatment, Trudy understands the evolving realities of survivorship and the additional challenges faced by families in regional communities. She shares her experience through several cancer advisory groups to raise awareness and improve care pathways.

Professionally, Trudy works in the for-purpose sector as a senior executive, leading Strategy, Governance, and Projects with a focus on delivering high-quality services in rural and regional centres. Her combined lived experience and strategic expertise bring a unique perspective to the Survivorship Reference Group.
