Our Experts
Bringing together the brightest minds to accelerate childhood cancer research and innovation.

Guided by scientific rigour and real-world perspectives
Every funding decision we make is shaped by both scientific excellence and the people who understand childhood cancer most deeply.
Our independent Scientific Advisory Committee, comprising national and international experts, rigorously assesses all funding applications on scientific merit, clinical impact, and strategic alignment.
Survivors and families contribute directly to this process, ensuring we back bold ideas that are not only scientifically sound but meaningful to those who have faced childhood cancer.
Scientific Advisors
Our independent Scientific Advisory Committee includes national and international experts who rigorously assess all research proposals to ensure that only the most impactful projects receive Children’s Cancer CoLab funding.
These dedicated volunteers generously contribute their time and expertise to ensure our competitive funding model supports highly impactful, collaborative research that accelerates discoveries and improves outcomes for children with cancer in Australia and globally.

Patients and Families
Our Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) ensures that the research we fund addresses real needs and delivers meaningful impact. Comprising survivors, siblings, and parents, these dedicated volunteers bring invaluable lived experience to everything we do.
PFAC members review grant applications, shape our research and innovation priorities, and contribute to our advocacy efforts. They help to ensure our work creates a better future for children with cancer and their families everywhere.

Survivorship Reference Group
Our Survivorship Reference Group brings together individuals with lived experience of childhood and adolescent cancer, alongside national and international experts in survivorship care and research.
This group plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and funding priorities for our Survivorship and Living Well Impact Program. They are also the driving force behind the national Surviving Cancer is Not Enough Position Statement, which calls for survivorship to be a core part of every cancer care plan, roadmap, and research agenda.
