Emily Kovacev

BMedSc(Hons) MPH

Emily Kovacev is the Research and Evidence Lead at the Leukaemia Foundation, where she oversees the operational delivery of the National Research Program. In this role, Emily manages the design and implementation of research grants, and the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects. Working closely with researchers, academic institutions, government, and industry, she ensures that the research funded by the Leukaemia Foundation remains aligned to the organisation's strategic priorities and impactful for the blood cancer community. Emily has a strong interest in science communication and supports the translation of research evidence into clear, meaningful resources that inform strategy and improve outcomes for people living with blood cancer.

Emily’s background spans medical science, public health, research translation, and infectious disease, with experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, policy support and development, stakeholder engagement, and project management across multi-sector settings. Emily holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Health and Medical Science with Honours.
