Professor Michael Jefford is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Also at Peter Mac he is Director of the Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre and a lead researcher with the Centre for Health Services Research. He is a Professorial Fellow with the University of Melbourne.

Professor Jefford focuses clinically on the management of people with gastrointestinal cancers. Most of his research focuses on cancer survivorship. He has published over 280 papers and book chapters.
