Tracy Hollington

Tracy Hollington's child was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at age 11, then secondary Acute Myeloid Leukemia as a result of his treatment at age 16. He is now cancer-free and living with the late effects of his treatments.
Tracy is a passionate advocate for child cancer families and a practising solicitor based in Western Australia. Her advocacy work began when her son was diagnosed with cancer, an experience that shaped her dedication to improving support systems and care for families navigating childhood cancer.
For over a decade, Tracy has been at the forefront of lived experience representation in Western Australia's childhood cancer community. She spent 11 years administering a social media support group for child cancer families in Western Australia and has served as an active consumer representative with the Kids Research Institute's Cancer Centre for 10 years, championing childhood cancer research and family-centred care.
In January 2025, Tracy was appointed Chairperson of the Child Cancer Research Foundation. Throughout her advocacy journey, she has been involved with numerous grassroots organisations supporting families at Perth Children's Hospital and has contributed to consumer reference groups at Perth Children's Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Tracy's personal experience with childhood cancer intersected with her professional journey when her son was first diagnosed while she was partway through her legal studies. She completed her degree shortly after his second diagnosis and now practices as a solicitor, bringing a unique perspective to her advocacy work.
Her current focus centres on survivorship support and advocating for equity in care for adolescents and young adults affected by cancer. Tracy is particularly passionate about ensuring equitable access to clinical trials, appropriate hospital accommodations during treatment, smooth transitions from paediatric to adult services, and comprehensive psychosocial care during and after treatment
